VINTAGE

Found some old pre-wed and wedding pictures. That went by fast.

"Announcement Pictures"

(Kathy's Grandma Davis took these picture for us. We used picture #2 for our announcements.)

Just Us

(Top 5 are at the St. George Temple, Bottom 4 are at the Reception)

We got married in the St. George Temple on August 7, 2004. We had our reception the night before so we could just take off after the ceremony. Our reception was at the Willard O Nisson park in Washington, Utah (small suburb of St. George in southern Utah). It was casual dress with music, 6 foot sandwiches and lemonade. Our cake was a brownie tier. It was supposed to be really hot that day, but it was in the evening and breezy so the temperature was not bad.

We got a lot of help with the whole thing. Kellen's mom helped with the dress, his sister Genassee made our "cake," his step-sister Stephanie made the invitations, Kathy's parents and Davis grandparents helped with the financing and housing, her older sister Teresa and friend Jen Ward helped get things set up along with the bridal shower stuff, some of our sisters, cousins, and aunts travelled a long way to attend, we got a lot of nice gifts from everyone who knew us, and Kellen set up the honeymoon.

Kellen kept saying we were going to go to Park City, Utah for our honeymoon. Which was fine because neither of us had ever been there. Only thing was we were planning on living in Salt Lake City (45 minutes from Park City) for the next three years. However. On our drive up to Salt Lake after getting married, he told the surprise: our honeymoon was to be in New Orleans. (The year before Hurricane Katrina, so we got to have the classic experience.) There were Jazz musicians on about every street corner, and Jazz bands playing in most of the restaurants, especially the outdoor ones. If you don't like fish, you probably have never had FRESH fish strait from the open waters. That stuff is awesome!

We ended up going to Park City for the annual art show for our first anniversary.
