Our baby is finally 8 years old (picture is lunch with his dad). We have all been looking forward to it, but also not wanting it to happen so soon (just for the parents of course). This year, since Shade had been able to make a few friends from school and baseball last year, and we now have an awesome yard, he decided he wanted a friend and cousin party on the weekend. Kellen and I debated just renting a bouncy house or something, but opted for a cheaper activity party. And Shade's birthday is in October, so it is fun to do Halloween stuff. So I got a bunch of stations together and we tried to have some fun. There were crafts (build a sticker montser, glow-in-the-dark beaded ghost), water balloons, paper airplanes, marshmallow poppers, and a pinata. We also had a fun dinner - pizza, cake, and ice cream sandwiches. It was a fun day!
We also had our own little family present/ice-cream-cake combo on his actual birthday 🙂(the wall car was probably his favorite gift - thanks Cotas!).
