THANKSGIVING '09

For Thanksgiving this year we were able to take a few days to go visit family in Chicago. It was great to have some time off together to spend with each other. Kellen had the whole week off, Shade was very spoiled. I had a 4-day weekend and spent a lot of time catching up on sleep and practicing my physical exam final on neices (which I aced by the way, thanks girls!).

We got an extra special treat when Grandma & Grandpa Nikolaus (Kellen's mom and step-dad) flew in to visit also. We had an awesome dinner. Kellen's sister Colby makes cooking a huge meal look as easy as a microwave dinner. She's awesome. Then our neice Bailey (who turns 10 on December 12th) was in a Christmas play put on by a local theater. She had to sing a solo and had some other parts. She did really well staying in character. She really enjoys it too.
