So on his birthday he got a good breakfast - eggs, bacon, and toast (Shade really likes bacon). Then he got to open some presents. He got some new trucks, fun shoes, a movie, and batman clothes.
After that, we got dressed and got to go to an apple orchard with his preschool class. We got to go on a tractor ride, pet animals, and eat donuts, cider and apples. It was fun :)
Then we went to have lunch with Kellen by his work that had a playplace. We had asked Shade what he wanted to do for his birthday and he said golfing. So when Kellen got home we made some homemade pizza and then went mini-golfing down the street. They had 3 different courses and a special on Thursdays that we could do unlimited games for a discounted price (and Shade was free). We thought Shade would get bored after awhile, but he wanted to stay and do all 3 courses. And he even got a hole in one! (Kellen got 4 and I got 3 holes in one). It was a lot of fun. Afterward we went for ice cream. It was a great day!
We were thinking of doing a party for him since he loves playing with friends, but then we got invited to go to Chicago and even Shade agreed he wanted to go visit his cousins. They were nice enough to give him some gifts and make some chocolate cupcakes, and even Grandma Bailey Nikolaus and cousin Gerry were there from Utah! It was a great birthday weekend for Shade!
