THANKSGIVING 2015: CURTIS' AND TALLULUH FALLS

For Thanksgiving this year, we debated about driving somewhere we haven't been before. But then we got invited to the Curtis' house, along with some hiking up in the Chattahoochee National Forest (yes, that is a real name) in Tallulah Gorge State Park by Tallulah Falls. It was gorgeous! And so warm! It got up into the 70's on Thanksgiving! I sure am loving this warmer weather down here! I'll take a hot, humid summer over a bitter, cold, 6-month long winter any day!

Some pictures of our hike:

We stayed the night in Buford and then had our Thanksgiving meal the next day. Kellen cooked the turkey with a brining recipe, which turned out really well. I helped with the sweet potato recipe we got from the Daltons (also turned out well), and make some fresh dinner rolls with Lydia. We also had mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, stuffing, salad, veggies and gravy. Then for dessert we had pecan, pumpkin and apple pie. It was all so yummy, and it was really nice to be able to share that with people we love. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures of any of the yummy food. Oh, well! But the weather was so nice, we were able to play, sit and go for a walk outside. It was awesome!
