Shade's elementary school has a running club, which we all love. It is just letting the kids run first thing in the morning when they get to school before it starts, but what better way to start the day? And Shade enjoys it. He even ended up getting a trophy this year for doing the most laps of all 2nd graders! He isn't necessarily the fastest, but he has pretty long legs and some good endurance! He also decided he wanted to do the district-wide cross country race. Each school lets kids of al grades compete. Oak Grove didn't have any of the fastest kids, but they weren't last either :) Shade did a great job finishing! We are very proud of him for choosing to do things that are healthy and that challenge him.
