So yes, the first post of Shade using the potty was dad putting baby on the toilet when he knew Shade was about to mess his diaper.
And lately Shade has been requesting to use the potty AFTER he had messed his diaper.
But today he requested to sit on the potty 3 times in a row - strange, but how can you deny a kid wanting to actually use a potty? So the third time he sat there for only a couple of minutes before he did #2 (it was nice only having to use half a wipe to clean him up)...I didn't push him to do it, he decided to do it on his own. And Kellen walked in right after it happened, so we got to do a family potty dance :) For the first hour or so Shade was so proud of himself that he kept saying - "I-wen potty!" with a big grin on his face.
Life is good.

Congratulations Shade. That's so exciting. I can't wait to be rid of diapers... messy, stinky and far too expensive. :D
