UTAH - SPLASH PAD & VIRGIN RIVER

St. George has added a very nice splash pad by the library, so of course we had to try it out. I so wish they had it when I was a kid! The kids had so much fun! They also have a carousel in the park nearby. And again, the grandparents sat in the shade with the happy baby :)

Another thing we wanted to try and do while we were there was go play in the Virgin River. We did that ALL the time when we were kids, even though it was a mile or so away, because it was so hot in the summer. So we went to a new, gorgeous park - Pioneer Park out in Washington fields - which also has a splash pad, some nice playground equipment, and a walking trail to the river. Surprisingly though, even though it was 100 degrees outside, Shade said the water was actually cold! I guess it must be from the mountain runoff :) The little kids were content to play in the mud. So fun!
