Ely

We only spent about half a day in Ely, Nevada - but it was still nice. My dad and Cheryl have recently moved into a nice, big house which was nice to see. They also had 3 horses, 4 chickens and 2 dogs, as well as a clubhouse in the back, 2 ATVs and Rock Band.

Shade loved all the animals. And then we got to go for a ride on the ATVs. That was really fun - although Shade ended up falling asleep... and don't worry - we didn't do any serious off-roading or anything (darn it all).

Then on to St. George, Utah (southeast corner). On the way we passed the infamous "Shoe Tree" and Miller's Point.

It was really nice of my dad to drive us the whole way to St. George. We got to actually stay with MY Grandparents there (Grandma & Grandpa #3) who are my dad's parents (unfortunately we only got pictures with their camera). That was an awesome treat. Kellen's mom also lives in St. George, so we got to visit her for a couple of hours (Grandma #4), although her husband was not home at the time.

We did get to go to the Frosttop for piccadilly chips and glaciers - a St. George tradition - my old Elementary school's new playground (it actually has a cover on it), and a swimming pool at a hotel for a bit. Then my older sister Teresa (who had driven down there from Salt Lake) took us up with her, her husband, and daughter Lily (10 yrs old) to Salt Lake City.
