KELLEN'S BIRTHDAY

So now Kellen is again as old as me :) This year his birthday was on a Sunday, so I couldn't do much that day (between work and church I am lucky to get 4 hours of sleep). So we did things on other days. He got his present the week before. He wanted a nice camping grill. Since we have to pay to wash our clothes, and we always smell like campfire when we go camping, this will make camping a little easier.

The day after his birthday, we did his birthday dinner. His favorite food is lasagna, so of course he got some. Shade also helped me make breadsticks and a "tie-dye" cake (got the idea from my sister-in-law Kayla, had to put my own twist on it though, since I was only making half a cake and didn't have the same coloring tools. It was way fun, thanks Kayla). We also just happened to see a woodpecker outside our living room window. We were too slow to get a picture. One cool thing about our apartment, since we are on the second floor, there is the top of a giant tree literally right outside our living room and bedroom windows. We could jump to it if we had to. And, it gives us some sort of shade in the summer (everyone loves shade :).
