12 WEEKS

Eli finally had his "2 month" checkup. It is so difficult to schedule appointments at the pediatrician's office we go to (Botsford Peds). I've stuck with them this long because they have all the records of all my kids starting with when Shade was born. But I am getting tired of having to book appointments a month in advance but you can't do it sooner because they only schedule one month at a time, so if you miss the 2-day window, you don't get an appointment when you need it. And then of course you wonder why it is so hard to get an appointment scheduled since they literally spend only 5 minutes talking to you and you end up just waiting the other 15-25 minutes. Anyway. Enough about that.

"2 Month" stats:
Weight: 14 lbs, 8 oz. = 69.5%
Height:  25.5 in. = 97.5%
Head: 16.5 in. = 92.7%

So his weight is starting to even out a bit for his size, and his body is catching up to his head size. But looks like he is still on the tall side, which is good, because Shade is definitely going to be tall.

Things Eli has figured out:
He likes to "run" in the bouncy chair like the other kids did.
He has laughed a few times since 10 weeks, but it was me trying to get him to laugh by tickling him or getting in his face. Nothing too spontaneous yet. Although it is getting more sincere :)
He is doing really well holding up his head.
He ROLLED OVER already!! Yesterday was the first day from belly to back. He still hates being on his tummy and his head is pretty heavy still, so that may be helping :)  (CLICK ON VIDEO LINK HERE)
We have propped him up in Olive's high chair a couple times (and we bought him his own high chair type thing and put him in), and he does pretty well. It is super cute. We have also put small toys in front of him and he has grabbed them a couple times.
He also likes lying on his back on his mobile and looking at the toys. Sometimes he will put himself to sleep just lying there.
He is always in a good mood waking up in the morning after we get him out of bed (he'll usually cry to let us know he is awake) with tons of cute, dimpled smiles!
