9 MONTHS OLD!

Eli actually figured out how to crawl on his knees today! I saw him do it for the first time over the carpet (where he doesn't slide as easily when he pushes himself). But it appears he still prefers to army crawl, even across the carpet, as he moves a lot faster that way, and he is constantly trying to keep up with Olive who likes to run and jump all over the place all day long.

He has 4 more teeth coming in! All on the top at the same time. So now he has 6 teeth. I sure don't miss breastfeeding...

He also finally figured out how to pull himself up, and he has been pulling himself up on everything! That has been a difficult skill for him to get down, since he such a chunk! He is literally 5 lbs lighter than Olive (who is 2.5 yrs old!). But of course he is still learning to balance and move around while he is holding onto things, so he gets lots of falls and head bonks. The fun of learning!

So we missed getting him a 6 month checkup because we moved to Georgia 2 weeks before he turned 6 months old, and then we were without insurance for another month and a half. We could have used COBRA if we had needed, but we were fortunate that we had no misfortunes of health that required medical attention. So we just waited until it was time for his next checkup.
