BAD LUCK Part CVII

So my dad is in the hospital again. It will be one week tomorrow. He works at a maximum security prison in Ely, Nevada. He manages the kitchen, and they often have inmates work there to help prepare meals. One of the inmates used one of the medal paddles from one of the giant mixing machines and attacked my dad - hit him in the back of the head. He was again life-flighted to Utah.

Just as things were finally starting to look good again. What terrible luck. And what dumb oversight by the prison - after all the layoffs so there weren't as many guards/protection as there used to be, and allowing the dangerous/violent inmates to work in the kitchen... (supposedly a "safe" job)...

Sounds like an episode of Law&Order.

Anyway. He is improving a lot faster than the last time he was in for a head injury (Accident;Recovery), but he is still unconscious.

It's sad. He was finally getting his memory back. His wife of almost 3 years was finally through her chemotherapy and the doctors said it was looking good. My 3 brothers at home were finally getting their lives back to normal (ages 14, 16, 18).

Anyway. If anyone reads this, please keep him in your prayers. And the people in Japan. Count your many blessings!
