DAYS LATELY

Since I have been back from Utah, I have been trying to enjoy my time with Shade before I go back to work. Even though it has been so stinking rainy for the last 3 WEEKS!!! or so - we have been going outside as much as possible: Evening walks with Kellen, lunches with Kellen, trips to the library, friend events, parks, walks, running. I also started doing a scheduled school-time with him on the weekdays that I don't have something scheduled in the morning. He actually likes school. We usually practice things he is struggling with (writing, letter sounds, putting letter sounds together, counting past ten, math, etc). Then we do something fun. One day we do science, another art/crafts, another body parts, another sports, another games/music. It has been a lot of fun watching him learn and seeing how much he enoys it.

Computer Fun (eating by the computer isn't the best idea)

Attempting to put on his own shirt, The Planets

Box Fun, Monkey Love

My Baby

Side-note: he is pretty much potty-trained now (Finally!!!). He has woken up with a dry diaper/pull-up (even from naps) to use the potty for over 3 weeks now. He has even started stopping something really exciting to use the potty (like playing with friends, playing outside, etc) - that one took awhile. But also, he is tall enough to stand up to use our toilet and wash his hands in the sink (he uses a stool for the sink), so he often is able to do most of it himself. He still uses the frog potty, though. That one is kind of scary - he will leave his pants down and waddle while he picks up the inside part to dump into the toilet. He often refuses to let us help him. Luckily, no real spills so far (knock on wood). We are still working on the order in which to do things :)
