Shade wanted to do the martian marathon again this year (Kellen didn't, he felt he didn't have enough time to train once we got a treadmill). We had finally gotten a nice treadmill (a form of health insurance since we actually use it...) and Shade was supposed to go 25 miles before the day of the race. He would walk/run about a mile each day (some days he did 2, some days we would go to the zoo or something and use that instead), and finished 2 days before the race. He ran the 1.2 mile race in about 14 minutes! He was very proud, and so were we!
