BLUE ANGELS

This year the Blue Angels (a pack of 6 jets) came to Peachtree City on Halloween weekend. We just happen to live near the airstrip where they do the show every year, so we got to see them practice a little bit the two days before the show. The literally flew right over our apartment several times! It was so loud that it scared both Olive and Eli and made them both cry! Unfortunately, I didn't get very good pictures or video of it, because I often couldn't tell they were going right over us until they were already there. But it was pretty sweet either way.

The days of the show (Saturday and Sunday) were both cloudy with a chance of rain, so they weren't even able to guarantee that the Angels would be flying. But Kellen works at Panasonic, which is literally across the street (and behind a building) from the airstrip. So on Saturday we brought a lunch and some blankets and parked in their parking lot for free (otherwise it would have cost us like $80 to get in). We watched a lot of the stunt planes, relaxed, and played around for a few hours. Then we decided to go check out some real estate. Unfortunately, that is when the Angels decided to do their show (the sun finally came out, but there was no official agenda, and we had already spent over 3 hours watching stunt planes). So we didn't get to see the big show, but now we have a better idea of what to do next year :) Either way, we still had fun!
