Kellen got home from work early on Friday (nice for a change), we packed up, grabbed some dinner, and headed to Waterloo. The fall colors were just starting to come in, and it was gorgeous. We only had a couple of setbacks, but we still got the tent up before it got completely dark.
Then we got to spend all day Saturday there. We had a nice breakfast, then went on a short bike ride and nature walk (where we saw a slug, a caterpillar, and literally 5 different frogs). Then we hung out at the playground and beach where the kids actually got in the water. Then we showered, had lunch, and played games while Olive napped. Then it was playing around camp (where there was plenty of dirt for Olive) and back to the playground. Afterward, it was dinner, a campfire, marshmallows, and bedtime.
The next day we got up early, had breakfast, took down camp, and made it back and showered and on time for church. It was an awesome weekend!
